weird magic “glitter orgy” commence. with the artists running late, so we turned the lights off and the p.a. way up and lukies grabbed the mic and i put on jams the place instantly popped off into a rave
the girls danced. some even brought glowstix for the occasion.

you can see survive in the background setting up. poor guys tried for several hours, but due to gear malfunction, didn’t get to play : (
a lot of artists dropped off the bill or didn’t/couldn’t make it (won’t name names). as i learned, such is south by. but these dudes get credit for making a solid effort.
by this time, it was 6 am and people were retiring (aside from the above couple, of course). i put on “round and round” and everybody came together, and then alan palomo played some freshly-recorded/unmastered neon indian cuts off his ipod. sounded sick.
